After years of hidden truth it always floats to the surface. I for one, am not okay with how others have been and continue to be treated on a daily basis. People as a whole are aloud to have their own views about things, whether its their way of life or how they're going to make their choices. Some do adapt in other cultures by choice. But that's the thing, it is their choice. Noone should ever EVER have society forcing things down their throat. Act like this, talk like that, believe this. They should be free to be their individual selves. Because if they're not... who are they? What are they? The people trying to colonizing people and places to suit their own personal needs are not only wrong but they are selfish. They should be punished for repressing hundreds and thousands that they've wronged.
In BC Canada, we've found a mass grave of 215 children. Let that sink in for a moment,.. 215 indigenous CHILDREN who didn't have the chance to play, didn't have the chance to dream. Didn't have the chance to feel freedom, they didn't have the chance to grow up with their loving families surrounding them. INNOCENT children. In what world is that okay? I don't care what race, gender, or faith a person is.. How is that not being punished? How was that acceptable? IT ISN'T AT ALL. It's torture, It's murder, it's genocide.
The way I look at humans is we are all humans first, color, race, gender doesn't ever play a part in my mind. I feel complete sadness that one human or group feels that they can do this to another group of humans. I personally will not be celebrating Canada day this year or maybe any year here after. What's there to be proud of? This has stripped my fighting soul down to bare bones. I stand with those who have been treated this way and those who have also lost their lives. There are no words to undo or fix these things. But I will give you my all, standing strong by your side, shoulder to shoulder.
